Troubleshooting/Resolution
Dell computers purchased from the JMU Dell Premier page come pre-tagged with a JMU Equipment Service Number (ESN).
All other devices (computers not ordered from the Dell Premier page, Apple Computers and printers) need to be tagged by Endpoint Services.
To request an asset tag, navigate to the IT Service Portal
- Select Request Help
- Click Software, Computers, and Devices
- Click Hardware
- Click Request an Asset Tag (ESN#)
The form will ask you some information about the computer such as Model Number, Serial Number, and Purchase Order information.
