Overview
An Equipment Service Tag (ESN) is a unique numerical identifier for computers, laptops, and printers indicated by a sticker on the device in the following format: XX-XXXX where the first two digits indicates the year in which it was purchased. All devices managed by JMU IT has an ESN that allows IT to push updates, identify machines on the network, and track incidents submitted for that device. If a computer is purchased through the Dell punch-out catalog in e-VA it will come pre-tagged with an ESN sticker. Mac computers and printers do not come tagged and require an ESN Request Ticket.

How can I get this Service?
Use the button to the right of this screen to submit a request ticket. You will need to provide information such as: the main user, department/org code, serial number, and location of the device.
