Overview
This article is to outline major systems Direct Access will provide remote access to. If you are using a JMU-Owned Windows computer setup by Information Technology Desktop Services or from a department that uses an IT Desktop Service image, you can use the following systems when connected to the internet remotely.

Troubleshooting/Resolution
- N: Drive - your computer will automatically connect to the N: drive as if you were on campus.
- To determine if you are connected, click on the the wireless or wired symbol in the system tray (bottom right on computer desktop), Then look for JMU Workplace Connection Connected. If you don't see the words connected, wait 5 minutes, try again later or reboot your computer and give it time to connect.
- If you have been previously authorized, you also will have access to the following systems:
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Student Administration
- Affinaquest CRM
- Advance Performance/Cognos
- AIMS
- Acctmon
- OnBase
- Nolij
- Cherwell
- Other specialized departmental systems, check with your department.
Additional Information or Notes
If you plan to use a non-IT-managed computer, Mac computer, or personally owned computer, you will be required to use SSL VPN to access the N:Drive, Advancement systems or Aim and VDI for accessing the PeopleSoft and OnBase or Nolij systems.
