Lost or Stolen JMU-Owned Computing Device (computing device owned by the university (laptops, desktops, tablets, cell phones, IoT, printers...)

  1. Contact the IT Help Desk and provide any details you may have about the situation, type of device (make and model) and the Equipment Service Number (ESN) if applicable and known
  2. Or, if you are logged in to the IT Service Portal, click Request Help (or Service Catalog from the top navigation)
    • Click Security
    • Click Security Incident Response and Investigation
    • Click Report an Issue
    • Fill out the form and click Submit
  3. Information Technology Security Engineering will follow-up with you.
