Request Remote access to Core PeopleSoft applications (HR, FIN, SA) or other systems

Learn what applications require remote access and how to submit a request for remote access.

Environment

Applies to JMU enterprise applications.

Troubleshooting/Resolution

If you are using a JMU-owned Windows 10 computer setup by IT Desktop Services or with an IT Desktop Services image from off-campus, you do not need to request Remote access for the following (these systems can be accessed just like being on-campus):

  • N: drive - file storage/shares
  • Student Admin (SA)
  • Human Resources (HRMS)
  • Finance (FIN)
  • Affinaquest CRM - University Advancement
  • Cognos - University Advancement
  • OnBase - Imaging System
  • Nolij - Imaging System
  • Aim - Facilities Mgt
  • Cherwell Client
  • Cherwell Web

Mac computer users or windows computers not setup by JMU IT Desktop Services image require the remote access request to be submitted if the user has not already been authorized for this access off-campus for the systems listed above.  To have access to other systems not listed above, a Remote Access request form needs to be completed as well.
