Employee Onboarding

Overview

The Employee Onboarding service supports the creation and activation of technology accounts for new JMU employees as part of the hiring process. This includes establishing a JMU eID, enabling initial system access, and ensuring employees can securely access core services such as email, MyMadison, and other required applications. Access is provisioned based on employment status and institutional policies, in coordination with Human Resources and Identity and Access Management. The service helps ensure new employees are prepared to begin work with the appropriate technology resources in place

How can I get this Service?

Supervisors can submit a request once their respected faculty or staff member has activated their eID to submit requests for items such as:

  • JMU-Owned device setup
  • Shared Mailbox access
  • VPN/VDI Access
