Purpose and Overview
Network Services recognizes that not all departmental needs can be met with the network hardware and services that are provided to meet the daily needs of campus. In limited circumstances, Network Services can provide custom network solutions for departments as a professional service.
In a situation where a custom network solution is needed, Network Services will work with the customer to identify possible solutions, provide a cost estimate to the department for both network hardware and labor, and work with the customer to install and support the solution.

Eligibility and Constraints
Custom Network Solutions may incur costs for network hardware and labor to the requesting department or school. This process is not a substitute for the Technology Solution Request (TSR) process, which is required for technology systems or services that are new to campus.
