Data, Reporting, and Analytics

Overview

The Data, Reporting, and Analytics service supports enterprise platforms that enable reporting, data visualization, and analytics across James Madison University. This service includes centrally supported tools such as Tableau, which provides visual analytics and dashboards for aggregated institutional data, and Cayuse, which supports research administration, compliance, and reporting workflows. These systems help faculty and staff analyze data, support decision‑making, and meet operational and compliance needs. Managed by Information Technology in partnership with campus stakeholders, this service ensures secure, reliable access to trusted institutional data

Who can use this Service?

Faculty and staff who have a university need to view and/or analyze aggregated data via a visualized analytical tool.

How can I get this Service?

• The purchase of Tableau Creator subscriptions is the responsibility of the department. Submit an Access Request to initiate the process.
