The Identity and Access Management (IAM) service at James Madison University provides secure and reliable access to university resources by managing user identities and permissions. IAM ensures that students, faculty, staff, and authorized guests can securely access the systems and services they need while maintaining compliance with JMU's security policies and data protection standards.

The use of IAM services is deeply connected to the use of a JMU eID, once it has been created and properly activated.
