Overview
This article will explain how to add a host other than yourself in a Zoom meeting
Environment
Zoom Client App, Zoom Browser Version, Zoom Settings
Troubleshooting/Resolution
Desktop Application (Mac/Windows):
- Open Zoom and sign in with your Office 365 employee or Dukes email account and Personal Password.
- Click on the Schedule icon (this will prompt open their scheduler window).
- Click Advanced Options.
- In the Alternative Host field, enter the name or email address of the alternative host.
- While several options could be selected, make sure the alternative host is in the name field and Enable join before host is checked
- Click Schedule to finish
- The alternative host will now receive an email notifying them that they have been added as an alternative host.
- The alternative host would need to have Zoom notifications active to receive email messages within the Zoom web portal.
Web Browser:
- Open Zoom and sign in with your Office 365 employee or Dukes email account and Personal Password.
- Click Meeting.
- Select Schedule a Meeting.
- Click Advanced Options.
- In the Alternative Host field, enter the email address for the alternative host.
- Click Save.
- The alternative host will now receive an email notifying them that they have been added as an alternative host.
- The alternative host would need to have Zoom notifications active to receive email messages within the Zoom web portal.
