Preventing Uninvited Guests and Unwanted Interruptions in Zoom

Overview

This article will describe what to do to prevent unwanted intruders in your Zoom meetings

Troubleshooting/Resolution

PRE-MEETING Settings:

IN-MEETING Settings:

  • Once all attendees have arrived lock the meeting
  • Enable Waiting room after meeting start if you forgot to - then kick to waiting room any troublesome users
  • Control Screen sharing for host only. 
  • Disable Private Chat
  • Turn off annotation
  • Mute participants (especially useful is the Mute All button)
  • Remove participants
