I am not Receiving Okta Verify Push Notifications on iPhone

If the device in question receives the "are you signing in" page while the Okta Verify app is open, but is not receiving notifications of any kind, follow the steps below.

  1. Verify the device is up to date with iOS updates.
  2. Delete the Okta Verify app from the iPhone and then reinstall it from the Apple App Store
  3. Open the Okta Verify App, and select Get Started
    1. Select Next
    2. Select Add Account
    3. Select Organization
    4. Select Skip
    5. Select No, Sign in Instead
    6. Enter the Organization's Sign-in URL: "jmu" and select Next
      1. An Okta sign-in page should appear. Put in your JMU eID and Password
  4. Once reconnected, confirm that you wish to receive Push Notifications and it is encouraged that you do not select Face ID or Passcode Confirmation.
  5. When completed, test signing in to mylogin.jmu.edu
