Error: Invalid date in function DateValue.

Learn how to resolve invalid date issues in MyMadison for Mac and PC.

Environment

Applies to MyMadison.

Troubleshooting/Resolution

If you receive "Invalid date in function DateValue" error:

Ensure your browser is set to English (United States) (Must include United States)

Verify date and time are properly set to the correct time zone where the user is located and the clock time is correct for their time zone, directions as follows:

Microsoft Windows

  1. Click the Start Icon (Windows logo button)
  2. Click Settings 
  3. Click Time & Language
  4. Click Date & Time and select the time zone that corresponds to your current location.  When you are at JMU, the time zone should be set to (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time

Apple macOS

  1. Click the apple in the top left corner of your screen, and open System Settings
  2. Select General, and then Date and Time
  3. In the new menu, turn on the toggle for Set your time and date automatically
    1. You will need to provide your Admin credentials to approve this change
  4. Turn on the toggle for Set time zone automatically using your current location
