Overview
Assessment Systems and Learning Analytics service provides faculty, staff, and administrators at James Madison University with tools and resources to assess student learning outcomes effectively and leverage data analytics to inform instructional decision-making. Providing tools that integrate with Canvas and MyMadison, Gradescope Bubble Sheets and Blue Course Evaluations help aim to enhance teaching and learning by providing insights into student performance, engagement, and progress towards learning goals.
The Assessment & Testing Center, located on the ground level of Gabbin Hall, is an assessment lab in three separate rooms used solely for computer-based testing and assessment. Students can drop in for assessment testing during scheduled hours. Faculty members can also reserve the lab for group testing. The lab is equipped with 103 computer workstations separated by wooden carrels. Students needing special accommodations should send requests to testingcenter@jmu.edu.

For the Assessment & Testing Center:
- Reservations can be handled on either a walk-in or appointment basis, and faculty can reserve group seating to administer tests as a class during normal lab operating hours. Special Reservations can be made to provide testing outside of normal lab hours. To discuss options, email the testingcenter@jmu.edu.
