Overview

Web content management and publishing system for www.jmu.edu.  Cascade provides accessible standards compliant html web page publishing.

Who can use this Service?

JMU faculty, staff and student employees who have been through Cascade Overview Training can request a Cascade user account.

JMU departments may publish on the JMU web via Cascade.

How can I get this Service?

  • Sign up for training in MyMadison, where you can find training availability and scheduling for upcoming classes. Once you have completed training, you can then complete the Form to Request or Remove Access or Sites 
    • Note: you must have an email address ending in @jmu.edu to request access.
  • Course web sites may be requested through JMU Libraries.

DubBot scans websites for accessibility.

Cascade is the web content system for JMU websites, training is required before requesting access.

James Madison University evaluates software to see if it is compliant with accessibility criteria and uses documentation from the vendor to complete the evaluation.
WWW
WWW is an over-arching category designating anything on www.jmu.edu not produced by Cascade.
Web Application Not Otherwise Specified
James Madison University’s web team oversees various assets.  Not Otherwise Specified is for any web asset not specified from the other choices in the ticketing system.
