How do I get access to Microsoft Office?

JMU students can install Microsoft Office 365 on up to 5 computers (Windows and/or Mac) at no cost. Your subscription to Microsoft Office will remain as long as you are enrolled as a JMU student.

Note:  Microsoft Access is not available for Mac computers.  Microsoft Access can be found in JMU's Computer Labs that have a PC Platform (Windows).

To install:

  1. Open a web browser to http://dukes.jmu.edu
  2. Log in with your Dukes email address and password.
  3. Click the App Launcher icon in the upper left of the screen.
  4. Click Office 365 to the right of the App Launcher.
  5. Click Install Office on the right side of the screen.
  6. Click Office 365 Apps.
  7. Click Run then follow the instructions to install Office on your computer or mobile device.
