Konica Minolta bizhub color print settings for MacOS

Note: These instructions apply only to Konica Minolta bizhub model printers. Other printer models do not share the same settings layout.

The default setting for many leased color printers is to use black and white instead of color. In order to override this behavior on a Mac, it is necessary to use the advanced print settings.

Adobe Reader has a slightly different menu from Office applications or web browsers for accessing these settings. Skip to step 2 if printing from an app in the Microsoft Office suite.

  1. From the Adobe Reader print menu, click the Printer… button in the lower-left corner.
  2. Click Yes on the prompt saying " The Print Setup dialog box is provided..."
  3. Verify that the Print window shows the correct printer. Select Printer Options and click on the name to expand.
  4. Click on Quality
  5. From the Quality menu, click on the drop-down menu under the label Select Color and then select the Auto Color option
  6. Click OK to apply the setting
  7. Finally, click the Print button to start the print job. Your document will now print in color.
