I Receive a Teams is Damaged Error on Mac

Overview

This article will go over what to do in the event you get a message stating your Microsoft Teams application is damaged when accessing it on a Mac computer.

Troubleshooting/Resolution

If you attempt to open Microsoft Teams on a JMU-Owned Mac and receive an error that states Teams is Damaged, you can attempt the following to correct the error:

  1. Open Finder
  2. Select Applications on the left-hand side
  3. Locate and Open JMU Self Service
  4. In the list of available applications, select Microsoft Teams and click Reinstall
  5. Once the installer has completed, Teams should open automatically

Note: If you do not see Teams in Self Service, you can alternatively to go to teams.microsoft.com and install Teams after signing in.
