MAC Pass-through for Dock

  1. Connect the laptop to the docking station
  2. Make sure it has an Ethernet internet connection (make sure Wifi is turned off)
  3. Open Control Panel
  4. Go to Network & Sharing
  5. Click on Ethernet hyperlink
  6. Click on Properties
  7. Click on Configure...
  8. Go to the Advanced tab
  9. Click on Network Address
  10. Select the Value radio button
  11. Enter the Ethernet MAC address of the laptop, not the dock (Enter the address as one word, no ":" or "-" or any other separating markers)
  12. Click OK and restart the computer
  13. Once you log back into the computer, confirm that the computer is getting the correct Static IP
