How to Update Microsoft 365 on Mac

Overview

How to check for and run Microsoft 365 updates on a Mac computer.

Environment

Microsoft 365, MacOS

Troubleshooting/Resolution

To update Microsoft 365 for Mac:

  1. Open an Microsoft 365 app (e.g. Microsoft Word).
  2. On your Mac's Menu Bar (at the top of your screen), select Help > Check for Updates.

Note:  If you do not see Check for Updates, run the latest version of the Microsoft AutoUpdate tool, then check for updates again.

  • Click Update to download and install all the available updates.
