- Microsoft SharePoint
Details
File management space in Microsoft 365 that is shared and used among groups of individuals or teams that require access to the same files. Because a SharePoint site is automatically created when a team is created in Microsoft Teams, IT recommends that users utilize file storage through Microsoft Teams. Each SharePoint site receives 500 GB of storage and additional storage may be requested as needed.
Are my Highly Confidential SharePoint site files backed up?
Yes, SharePoint is backed up by Microsoft and JMU IT processes. Deleted files and content can be restored from the SharePoint site recycle bins for approximately 90 days by the site owner(s) directly, and JMU IT can be contacted for anything beyond that timeframe.
Can JMU faculty or staff be added to a Highly Confidential SharePoint site?
Yes. The request will need to be approved by the employee’s Supervisor and the site Data Custodian before access is applied.
Can I share with external guests from a Highly Confidential SharePoint site?
