Troubleshooting/Resolution

If you receive a message or alert that there is an .ics file attempting to update within Outlook, this simply means that some point in the past, an Internet Calendar was added to your Outlook profile.

To verify if the .ics file is in Outlook:

  1. Open the Outlook mail client
  2. Click File, then Account Settings, then Account Settings
  3. Select the Internet Calendars tab to verify there is an .ics file

To determine the contents of the Internet Calendar (.ics):

  1. Open the Outlook mail client, and click Calendars
  2. Uncheck all other calendars:
    1. My Calendars
    2. Other Calendar
    3. Shared Calendars
  3. Except for the .ics calendar, and look at any events that may be listed on the calendar to determine if it is still needed
  4. If you no longer need access to the .ics calendar, it can be removed
    1. Right-click calendar and select Delete Calendar
