My Focused Inbox is on, but it does not sort the "Other" box

The Focused Inbox is not available in our email system; if you turn on the Focused Inbox feature, it will not deliver mail to the Other Mailbox.

To remove the "Other" mailbox:

  1. Open your JMU Email
  2. Click on Settings (the gear icon) in the upper-right
  3. Scroll down to Focused Inbox and move the toggle switch to Off
    1. Depending on your layout, you may get sent to the settings screen. If so, the Focused Inbox option is under Mail, then Layout
  4. To filter low-priority or specific types of messages, create rules to move them to other folders in your email account.
