Applied to The Graduate School but did not receive an eID

Body

Overview

General overview for graduates about eID activation, and the processing time of activation.

Environment

JMU Systems, MyMadison

Troubleshooting/Resolution

When applying to the Graduate School, you do not receive an eID until you have been formally accepted into the program. Once that has been completed, you will receive an email that provides direction on how to activate your eID, access your JMU Dukes email, as well as set up your password and enroll in JMU's multi-factor authentication.

Be aware that while you may receive your Acceptance into your program, it may be several days before receiving a follow-up email to activate your eID, as each Graduate School enrolls their upcoming class differently and unique times. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your Application, eID activation, or your specific School, please check your application status on the Status/Activity Page, which can be accessed with this link.
