Trouble logging into Educ.jmu.edu

Prior to logging in, ensure that your professor has requested an account for you and the account has been created:

  1. Download an SFTP client or the one requested by your professor
  2. Once installed, open your selected client.
  3. Enter the hostname as educ.jmu.edu.
  4. Put the SecureFTP Port number as 22.
  5. The User name and Password will be your JMU eID and password.
  6. Ensure that the File Protocol is set to SFTP.
  7. Click Connect.
  8. If you still have issues connecting, please email helpdesk@jmu.edu and include your IP Address (open a web browser to https://www.whatsmyip.org)
