Troubleshooting/Resolution
If you get the message "refused to connect" please send the exact wording of the error message along with a screen shot of the error to helpdesk@jmu.edu (attach the picture to the message rather than embedding the image in the email) and let us know if any of these solutions below resolve your issue:
- Click the LogOut button at the top of the MyMadison window
- If that is not available, try re-entering https://mymadison.jmu.edu in your browser and log in again
- Lastly, try clearing your browser cache https://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache
- Open the web browser back to mymadison.jmu.edu and log in with your eID and password
