Learn how to get PowerPoint designs online in Microsoft 365.

Troubleshooting/Resolution

Design ideas do not come in our Office 2021 LTSC desktop application license, but they are available through our Microsoft 365 online subscription (where you access your email online). To find Designer ideas:

  1. Open up a web browser to your JMU online email account at https://office.com.
  2. Login with your full JMU email address (eID@jmu.edu for faculty/staff or eID@dukes.jmu.edu for students).
  3. On the email screen, click the App Launcher (nine dot icon in the upper left corner), then select Powerpoint.
  4. On one of your slides, click Design, then click the Designer. Suggestions will appear on the right.
