Why is the N:Drive read only?

As of 08/01/2025 eID folders within N:Drive will be read only. This is due to the transition of eID folders moving to the OneDrive. For more information about this transition read here.

 

Now you will see the message below when accessing files in your eID folder. 

 

If you have any questions or concerns you can contact the IT Help Desk at helpdesk@jmu.edu, 540-568-3555 or by  submitting a ticket in the IT Portal using the grouping below.

 

  1. Log into the IT Service Portal 
  2. Click Request Help 
  3. Click Communication and Collaboration
  4. Click File Storage (N: drive)
  5. Click Ask a Question
  6. Complete the form and select Submit
