How to Change Default Reply Settings in Outlook Web App

Overview

This article describes how to change the default reply setting from "Reply to All" to "Reply" to sender only.

Environment

Applies to Microsoft Office.

Troubleshooting/Resolution

To change the default setting Reply to All, to Reply (to only reply to the sender) follow these steps:

  1. Login to your email account at outlook.office365.com
  2. Click Settings (Gear icon) in the top right
  3. Click View all Outlook Settings
  4. Click Mail on the list of options on the left side of the screen Compose and reply
  5. Change the default response, by clicking to Reply
