Applying for graduation

  1. Open a web browser to mymadison.jmu.edu and sign in with your eID and password
  2. On the Student tab, click Student Center
  3. Under Academics, Other Academics, click Graduation
  4. Click Go >> 
  5. Select Apply for Graduation (need 75 credits for this link to be available)
  6. Check to ensure your major is correct  
  7. If correct, click the box The Program of Study listed above is correct.
  8. Select Apply for Graduation
  9. Select your Expected Graduation Term 
  10. Provide an Alumni Email Address to stay in touch
  11. Click Continue
  12. Verify Name and Address for the Commencement Program and Diploma
  13. Click the box By checking this box I verify that I have selected my desire name for both the commencement program and my diploma and that changes may not be allowable depending upon the date of my request.
  14. Click Continue
  15. Verify Graduation Data - either select Edit my Information or click Submit Application
