How to Enable Macros in Microsoft 365 Applications on Windows

Overview

This article outlines the steps to enable macros if your Microsoft 365 application is blocking them.

Environment

Microsoft 365 applications, Windows

Troubleshooting/Resolution
  1. Open the specific Microsoft Office 365 application of your choice (e.g. Microsoft Word).
  2. In the top-right, go to:
    1. Go to File > Options.
    2. Select Trust Center > Trust Center settings...
    3. Select Trusted Locations.
  3. Click the box Allow Trusted Locations on my network > Add new location... button.
  4. Check the box to also trust subfolders > select Browse... button.
  5. Select N: drive in left pane >select OK button.
